Meet Joe

Juno throughout the months, you know what a special boy he is. Juno has had liver shunt surgery and bladder surgery to remove stones all in one operation. He was flown from California to oklahoma by our wonderful flight attendant volunteer who dropped everything to get him to us. The foster mom in Texas picked him up from the airport and took him straight to the emergency room. He spent the next couple of weeks week getting critical care due to toxins that had built up in his body from the liver shunt. Once he was stable, foster mom took him to her home to spend the rest of the time getting healthy enough for surgery working with the primary veterinarian. This was a surgery that cost us $4-$7K (keep in mind this was two surgeries at the same time). While Juno was getting healthy our wonderful community of followers and supporters stepped up in a big way to donate to Junos surgery. Check out our website at the multitude of names. Some gave everything they could afford to help this little guy. Fast forward, Junos surgery was a success! He is expected to live a long, normal, pain-free life. Foster mom is getting him groomed soon to show you what the healthy Juno looks like now. He has gone from 2.1 lbs to 3.2 lbs (foster mom says ooops), he is running in the yard, the house, and driving the senior fosters crazy. He is acting like the puppy that he is. Even the primary vet was amazed at the difference when she took the stitches out!!!! Juno will have blood work in first November and once that is complete and we know where he is, he will be ready for his new family.
