Meet Sugar

THANK YOU TO SUGAR BABY'S RESCUE ANGELS!

Keme Chambers, Evelyn Greer, Evelyn Greer, Sandy Pagnotta, Robert Torres

Update 11/6/23: Sugar  is almost to the finish line with her Heart Worm treatment. She has been a trooper thru the process and she tells me hurry up and get me a new family. She will be tested 11/15 and when she gets her last update she will be ready for her spay and then ready for her next adventure with a new family. Check back for her updates after 11/15.

Update 10/1/23: Sugar  is so true to her name. She is a total love bug. She never takes her eyes off of her foster mom, even if Sugar Baby is sleeping she sleeps with one eye open in case she misses something. Lol. She snuggles next to whoever is watching TV, enjoys being with her foster siblings and being part of the pack when it is time to go outside.

Sugar  is half way thru her Heartworm treatment and is doing amazing.

As soon as her treatment is completed she will be spayed and then she will be ready for her new family around Thanksgiving.

Sugar  has discovered the world of going for a walk and she lives for that leash to come on and head out. She potties outside on her walks and greets everyone, even friendly dogs. She loves the back yard and laying in the sun. She will be great with an active family that can keep showing her new things like travel, play, walking and keep introducing her to new activities.

She is quite the communicator. She will let you know in her own words that she wants something. Maybe food, outside, or time for her walk. Sugar Baby will need to be with a family with children over 12 years of age.

Initial Bio 8/26/23: Sugar  is the perfect name for this sweet sweet 3-4 year old 8lbs of love and hugs. Sugar Baby wandered into the back yard of this kind lady and was in very sad condition after what seems to be a recent pregnancy. She spent a month with this family and they tried their best to find her family. They posted everywhere and let folks come over to make sure that wasnt their lost baby. After a month they decided they would see if she would fit in their family. They recently got a large dog that is 1.5 years and very playful but one day they walked in the room and saw the large dog with her mouth around Sugar Babys neck wanting to play. They knew that situation wasnt in the best interest of either dog so they reached out to owen and we were so happy to bring Sugar Baby into our rescue. She is so sweet and kind that we cant wait to see which new family will be the lucky one to give her a furever home.

Sugar Baby has been in rescue one week and everyday we see her adjusting beautifully to the big world that she has never seen. She is great around her foster siblings including an Old English Sheepdog, a yorkie and a gentle shitzu /poodle. She is a little skittish with new sounds and banging since it appears she may have been a breeder baby that was possibly dumped when they found out she is heart worm positive. That of course would pass on to her babies.

She is up to date on all vaccines and has begun her heart worm treatment that is expected to have a positive outcome so she can can give a new family all the love she has in her heart. Sugar Baby is potty trained and of course sleeps with 2 other siblings on her foster mom's and dad's bed.

This little girl knows nothing but kindness and love. It takes her a little more time to get used to men but she is taking it slow with foster dad and everyday she gets closer and closer. Because we arent sure how she is around small children adoptions would be best with children 12 and over.

If you think this sweet girl would be a wonderful new addition to your family please see below to complete and application.
