Meet Malika

Malika is a girl weighing a little over 5pounds and is 3years old.

A very kind gentleman saw that I and my buddy Sage were being sold by two homeless guys in a homeless camp. We were disheveled and flea ridden, had no collars or harnesses or leashes. The nice gentleman had such a kind heart that he bought both Sage and I from the two homeless guys to get us out of our horrible living situation. He took us to his home and got us cleaned up and groomed. He also was able to find my original records from when the homeless guys took me to a vet clinic to get spayed and my shots. After getting cleaned up, he reached out to emporiumyorkie to see if we could help them get adopted. Emporium Yorkie Rescue wanted to help these poor 2.

It has taken me a while to learn to trust hoomans. I was pretty much shut down the first few weeks here. I have just recently in the past three weeks have started to come out of my shell. I want EYR to give me some loving and pets. I bring her a toy in exchange for these pets and the sweet encouraging words she tells me. I am still learning about toys probably cause I have never had any before. I have learned how to play chase with my foster brother Miley and the resident dog Legend here and we sure can run fast and in circles in the backyard. I enjoy sunbathing outside and using my sniffer to discover the new scents that I smell. EYR has let me come out of my shell slowly at my own pace. I am starting to show her that I have a happy personality and I interact more with her these days. It has taken me a long time to trust, but that is probably because of my past. I don't know how to tell EYR about my past and how I was treated or where I came from.

I am neutered, I have my very own microchip, I tested heartworm negative and I have the 12 month shot for preventative for both Heartworms, fleas and ticks. I tested negative on my fecal, My teeth look good and I am UTD on all my vaccinations. Now I'd like to tell you what I'd love to have in the home that I am searching for.
