Meet Brian
Brian
Meet Brian. He is a 4.5 pound 3 year old Yorkie. You may wonder how this precious boy came into rescue. He was an owner surrender at the local animal shelter. The surrendering owner wanted this baby euthanized - yes, you read that correctly EUTHANIZED!!! The intake sheet for this boy showed he was aggressive and attacking the humans in the house. A fellow yorkie lover contacted us and asked us to help this boy. So we were contacted and we volunteers and asked to assess this boy at the shelter and report back. With treats in hand, the our volunteer went to the shelter and immediately knew this baby was not aggressive but was neglected and possibly abused in his prior "home".
Within minutes Brian was in the volunteer's lap (now foster mom) and ready to go home. Brian gets along with all of foster mom's dogs, big and small. He just wants to be held and loved. He is taking a little longer to adjust to foster dad, which is very telling about his former home life. Foster dad is patient with him and feeding him treats and slowly, Brian is warming up. A home with someone who has a LOT of love and attention to give to Brian is what this boy needs. He will could go to a home with small children. Brian wants to sit in your lap and stay close to his human. He has already been neutered. He is otherwise healthy! Brian may take some time to warm up to the men in your home so patience and a firm but loving hand will be key to his success. He has a lot of puppy behaviors and would love walks and lots of play time. If you think you have the perfect home for this boy, please contact us and fill out an application. Foster mom will be looking for someone that wants to give a lot of love and affection to this boy.
